Time for strong display against Shots

16 April 2013

Clohessy says other than the time the floodlights went out, he can't remember a good performance against Aldershot

Sean Clohessy says now is the time for Blues to put in a good performance against relegation threatened Aldershot Town.

The defender admits he can’t remember Blues giving a good account of themselves in the last five meetings, with four ending in defeat and one ending in a 0-0 draw.

Sean is now hoping to pile the pressure on Andy Scott’s side by helping Blues pick up three points at the EBB Stadium this evening.

He said: “Since I’ve been here I don’t think we’ve played well against Aldershot once and it would be nice to change that tonight.

“They always seem to impliment a game plan when we come up against them and it seems to work for them.

“The only time I can remember us putting in a good performance was when the floodlights went out and the match got cancelled.

“I don’t want to look back at that and think what might have been, it’s simply all about putting in a good performance tonight and picking up a first win under the new manager.

“I’m not out to get revenge in anyway and keep them at the bottom of the table, but we want to pick up three points to try and ensure we finish the season as strong as we possibly can.”
