Helen & Max to sing at Roots Hall

1 April 2013

Soccer AM presenters to sing National Anthem before today's game vs. Fleetwood Town

We are delighted to announce that Helen Chamberlain and Max Rushden of Soccer AM will be singing the National Anthem before today’s game against Fleetwood Town, kick-off 1pm.

The TV pair had been scheduled to sing the National Anthem before Sunday’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final against Crewe Alexandra.

The Football League then made the decision to ask Natalie Coyle to sing instead of Helen and Max at the big event.

However, after discussions over the weekend the pair have agreed to sing in front of the Roots Hall faithful this afternoon before the game against Graham Alexander’s side.

Chief executive Steve Kavanagh said: “With Helen and Max no longer singing at Wembley on Sunday we didn’t want to let the rehearsals they have been having go to waste.

“For that reason we have asked both Helen and Max to sing at our game this afternoon and we were thrilled when they accepted the offer.”

Remember, it’s kids for a quid this afternoon at Roots Hall so why not head down to cheer Blues on in new manager Phil Brown’s first home game in charge.
