Cresswell: Let's put on a show for fans

22 April 2013

Defender wants Blues to finish season with a strong performance

Ryan Cresswell wants Blues to put on a show for the home fans in the final game of the season on Saturday after last weekend’s disappointment at York.

Despite Blues being unable to get into the play-offs now, the defender insists the players will be up for the game in the hope of ending the season on a high.

He said: “Let’s put on a show for the fans. They’ve been absolutely fantastic both at home and away from home this season and they deserve a good performance to end the season.

“I know that’s exactly what the lads want to do as a way of saying thank you to the fans who have been top quality.

“We were all disappointed on Saturday because we conceded two sloppy goals and didn’t get something out of the game for all the fans who had made the journey.

“We said to ourselves that we wanted to go into the final game with something to play for but unfortunately that hasn’t happened. We need a lift to end the season and we want to put in a good performance for all the fans.”
