Brown has three options when deciding who replaces Tam Mkandawire alongside Ryan Cresswell
Phil Brown says he has a big decision to make in terms of who replaces Tamika Mkandawire at the heart of the Blues defence for the trip to York this weekend.
Tam returned to Millwall following the completion of his loan spell and Brown says he has a wealth of options when deciding who to bring in alongside Ryan Cresswell.
Brown said: “Tam was excellent for us and worked very well alongside Cresswell, but we’ve got some very good options when looking at who to bring in to replace him following his return to his parent club.
“Mark Phillips has great experience at this level and impressed me in the couple of games he has played so far.
“Luke Prosser played very well in the draw at Bradford and picked up a knock there putting his body on the line. He put down a marker in that game.
“Then I’ve got Chris Barker, my captain, whose best position is centre back for me. He’s covered at left full back a couple of times but I feel he’s best in the centre.
“I’ve got a big decision to make ahead of the game.”
