Win your height in pizza

26 September 2012

After a lengthy period on the sidelines, Roots Hall welcomes back the ever popular Half Time Challenge this Tuesday night against Burton Albion.

The challenge is sponsored by our friends at Papa John’s Pizza in Southchurch Road, Southend – 01702 464500.

The format of the challenge sees us go back a few years to the ‘ball through the hole’ challenge that we used in the early seasons of the noughties.

A banner will be placed across the goal covering from post to post and 4ft from the ground advertising Papa John’s Pizza. Placed strategically will be two holes and the aim of the challenge is to try to shoot through either one of the two holes from the edge of the penalty area ‘D’.

The contestant has two attempts to succeed and if they get one ball through the hole they will win their own height in large sized pizza; approximately 6 per foot.

However even if they fail to get the ball through the hole they will still win a voucher for £25 to spend at Papa John’s Pizza, it’s a win/win situation.

To enter all you have to do is purchase a 50/50 ticket from one of the ‘Pink Ladies’ before any npower League 2 fixture at a cost of just £1 then listen out for the PA announcement during the first half revealing the lucky winning ticket.

Don’t forget the 50/50 ticket offers a prize of 50% of the day’s net takings and the 2nd prize is a meal for two at Maya’s World Buffet Restaurant in Southend.

However, the excitement doesn’t stop there because every ticket is a winner as Maya’s World Buffet Restaurant is allowing 15% off any meal at their Southend branch on production of the 50/50 ticket.

So make sure you get your 50/50 ticket for the chance to win so many fantastic prizes. As they say, you’ve got to be in it to win it!
