Southend unchanged against Plymouth

29 September 2012

Southend United boss Paul Sturrock has named an unchanged side to face Plymouth Argyle this afternoon at Home Park.

The Blues chief has named the starting eleven that faced Exeter City last week.

That means goalkeeper Daniel Bentley starts in goal whilst striker Elliot Benyon partners Britt Assombalonga in attack.

Trio Paul Smith (concussions), Mark Phillips (groin) and Gavin Tomlin (groin) failed to be passed fit in time and stayed in Essex.

Last weeks goalscorers Barry Corr and Freddy Eastwood are on the bench whilst under 18’s keeper Ted Smith provides cover.

Southend: Bentley, Clohessy, Cresswell, Prosser, Barker, Hurst, Timlin, Spicer, Martin, Benyon, Assombalonga.

Subs: Smith, Leonard, Coughlan, Eastwood, Corr, Straker, Woodyard.
