Martin passed fit to start

15 September 2012

Southend United winger David Martin has passed a fitness test ahead of today's npower League Two match with Cheltenham Town.

The Blues midfielder has shaken off an ankle problem to face the Robins at Whaddon Road this afternoon.

That means United will be unchanged from the side that faced Dagenham and Redbridge last weekend.

However, striker Neil Harris has failed to make the subs bench with a medial ligament injury in his knee.

That means Paul Sturrock will name just five substitutes with a number of injuries to Prosser, Leonard, Corr and Eastwood.

Southend: Smith, Clohessy, Phillips, Cresswell, Barker, Hurst, Spicer, Timlin, Martin, Tomlin, Assombalonga.

Subs: Belford, Straker, Benyon, Woodyard, Njie.
