Southend United boss Paul Sturrock and striker Britt Assombalonga have been nominated for the npower League Two Manager and Player of the Month for September today.
The Blues pair are up for the awards for their efforts last month.
Sturrock led Southend to 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat in all competitions during the month of September.
Meanwhile, Assombalonga scored five goals, including two in a 3-1 win against Dagenham and Redbridge.
Sturrock is up against Rochdale’s John Coleman and Port Vale’s Micky Adams for Septembers gong.
Assombalonga meanwhile faces stiff competition from Port Vale’s Tom Pope and Rochdale’s Andrew Tutte for his award.
The winners will be announced live on Sky Sports News at 10am on Friday, 12th October.
