Manager Paul Sturrock branded Zlatan Ibrahimović’s goal against England on Wednesday night as the best he had ever witnessed.
The Swedish international overhead kicked his fourth goal of a 4-2 win against England into the goal from a full 30-yards.
It was a strike that has sparked debate amongst football fans about the greatest ever goal.
But for Blues boss Sturrock it is the only contender.
“When the ball got headed out and he turned his back I said to myself he’s going to overhead kick this,” said Sturrock.
“That is the type of player he is. It’s the best goal I have ever seen by a mile.
“The power he had to use from the distance he was out and the accuracy was incredible.”
