Southend United manager Paul Sturrock has named an unchanged side to face Port Vale today.
The Blues boss has gone with the same side that started Tuesday’s 3-2 win at Bristol Rovers.
That means forward Britt Assombalonga keeps his place along side Gavin Tomlin in attack.
Meanwhile, on loan Millwall midfielder Tamika Mkandawire will make his Roots Hall debut.
Defender Anthony Straker is unavailable due to his international call-up for Grenada and is replaced by Luke Prosser on the substitutes bench.
Finally, winger David Martin has failed a fitness test on a back problem.
Southend: Smith, Clohessy, Phillips, Cresswell, Barker, Timlin, Larid, Mkandawire, Hurst, Tomlin and Assombalonga.
Subs: Bentley, Prosser, Eastwood, Corr, Spicer, Leonard, Woodyard.
