Southend United have today completed the loan signing of Millwall midfielder Tamika Mkandawire.
Mkandawire, 29, has moved to Roots Hall from the npower Championship outfit until 8th December.
The former Hereford United and Leyton Orient midfielder can also play in defence.
He has made 53 appearances for Millwall but has been out of action for a year following a knee injury.
But following several reserve team appearances for the Lions their 2010/11 Player of the Year has been allowed out on loan to Roots Hall.
Mkandawire trained with the Blues first team squad today and has been passed fit by the Blues medical team.
Mkandawire will not be available for Saturday’s FA Cup match against Stockport County as he has been refused permission to play by Millwall.
He will however be allowed to participate in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
Tamika will be at Roots Hall on Saturday and will be joining striker Britt Assombalonga in the hospitality areas at Roots Hall.
