Six Trialists Set for Hammers Test

Southend United will name two sides in either half of their pre-season friendly with West Ham United this afternoon.

Included in the match will be six trialists, two of which are goalkeepers.

Ex-Rotherham United keeper Rhys Taylor will play in the first period whilst former Swindon Town shot stopper Phil Smith will start the second half.

Meanwhile, former Walsall midfielder Marc-Antoine Gbirsson and French midfielder Yohan Folley will also feature.

United's final two trialists are former Galway United striker Joe Yoffe and winger Tyrone Seally.

Southend: Rhys Taylor, Sean Clohessy, Anthony Straker, Marc-Anto Gbirsson, Ryan Cresswell, Chris Barker, Kevan Hurst, Kane Ferdinand, Neil Harris, Gavin Tomlin, Tyrone Seally.

Subs: Ryan Leonard, Phil Smith, Mark Phillips, Graham Coughlan, Luke Prosser, Yohan Folly, David Martin, Joe Yoffe, Elliot Benyon, Alex Woodyard, Ryan Hall, Freddy Eastwood, Daniel Bentley.
