Southend United head to Spain this weekend as their pre-season tour of Madrid gets underway.
The Blues first team squad jet off to the Spanish capital on Friday morning for four days, including two matches.
Arriving on Friday afternoon the Blues will be based at Ciudad del Futbol, which serves as the headquarters for the Royal Spanish Football Federation and is regulary used by the World and European Champions national side.
Occupying 12 hectares the site boasts five football pitches, an indoor arena and a social and training area.
The complex is located on the outskirts of Madrid in the munipality of Las Rozas.

Real Madrid C - 28/07/2012
Paul Sturrock’s sides’ first match of the tour takes place on Saturday, 28 July (10am CEST/9am BST) against Real Madrid C at the Los Blancos training complex Ciudad Real Madrid.
Valdebebas, as the locals know it, has 13 full size pitches including the Alfredo di Stéfano Stadium, a 6,000 seater mini stadium.
Real Madrid C is the second reserve side of the La Ligue team and consists mainly of second year professionals and youth players.
They play in Spain’s Segunda División B, the third tier of the league system, where they finished runners-up in June.
Notable former players to have represented the C team include Raúl, Rafael Benítez and Guti.
Entrance fee for this match is €5 with tickets available from Valdebebas front gate.

Rayo Vallecano B - 29/07/2012
United’s second test on Spanish soil sees them face the reserve side of Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, 29 July (7pm CEST/6pm BST) at the Franjirrojos training complex Ciudad Deportiva Fundación Rayo Vallecano.
Vallecano’s B side, like Real Madrid C, play in Segunda División B and finished 7th last season.
Entrance to this match will be free of charge to travelling supporters.
