Shrimpers Trust provide analysis department with a new laptop

Southend United would like to thank the Shrimpers Trust who have kindly funded the purchase of new IT equipment to help Blues’ analysis team.

The equipment will be used by the first team analysis department to review and dissect Blues’ matches both at Roots Hall, and away from home as they look to gain promotion to League 1.

The previous equipment unfortunately broke and has prevented the analysis department from providing an immediate response and feedback to the team and individual players, which is vital in modern day football.

Thanks to the tremendous support of the Shrimpers Trust the new equipment has been purchased to assist the analysis team, and a presentation to Blues boss Paul Sturrock took place pitch-side at the game against Bradford City.

Paul was extremely grateful for the support shown by the Trust. He said: “Match analysis is a vital cog in the running of a football team in the modern game, since we received the new equipment the performance of the team has certainly improved.

“It’s not that you gain an advantage by using video analysis, it’s that you can be seriously disadvantaged if you’re not using the tools that exist.

“I would like to thank the Shrimpers Trust for kindly supporting us and ensuring that we can now complete in-depth analysis after every match.”

Shrimpers Trust Chairman Paul FitzGerald said: “The Shrimpers Trust was delighted to be able help with this necessary piece of equipment which we hope in part helps lead us to promotion.

"If you'd like to join the Shrimpers Trust and help us to help your club - why not come and see us on match days in the Shrimpers Bar or visit our website www.shrimperstrust.co.uk.”
