Blues boss awarded Manager of the Month

Blues boss Paul Sturrock has been awarded npower League 2 Manager of the Month for November.

Paul guided Blues through an unbeaten November, which included scoring the most goals, conceding the last, and earning the most points.

Blues’ manager beat of the competition of Paul Tisdale and Paul Cook to win the award.

Speaking on Friday, Paul said: “The award is for the club and the work that everyone here has put in.

“My backroom team have done an absolutely fantastic job and the players have responded very well.

“It was a good month for us, we didn’t get beat and we progressed in the cup competitions and moved up the league.

“We just need to keep doing what we’re doing and hopefully the good form can continue.”

Asked what he did with the awards he had won in his career, he added: “One is used for a door stop at the moment, but I do keep them all so I will be adding that one to the collection.

“As I say though, the award is for the team, not just for myself. We’ve all worked hard and we’re reaping the rewards.”
