Defender delighted with Blues' second half showingThree excellent goals, a clean sheet, three points, and up to fourth in League 2 - it's no wonder defender Ryan Cresswell believes Blues' second half showing against Chesterfield was a complete performance.
Cresswell hammered home the opening game just after the break before Gavin Tomlin took his tally to 12 for the season with a brace, and Ryan, who has eight goals himself, praised Blues' display.
"I would say that it's as complete a performance as you'll see at this level," said Ryan. "We really took the game to them and got the rewards.
"It was difficult in the first half and we perhaps didn't have that cutting edge but we certainly found it in the second half.
"They are a very good side but we played with real tempo, worked hard and scored three goals.
"Gavin has been absolutely fantastic of late and both his goals came from really good passing moves, both of his goals were absolutely brilliant."
It's no surprise that Ryan is eyeing double figures for goals this season, having scored eight already, while he was also pleased to record a clean sheet.
"It's good to get another goal and I'm pushing for the double figures, I seem to just be in the right areas at the moment," he added.
"Having conceded two on Saturday it was good to get that clean sheet. We were solid and didn't really look like conceding.
"There's no doubt that this will send out a message because as I say, Chesterfield are a good side.
"We looking forward to the busy schedule because we've got such good spirit and momentum among the squad at the moment."
