Southend United spent £14,350 on agents’ fees during the 2011/12 season.The news comes following the Football League’s annual report into agents fees were released this morning.
The money Southend spent on agents accounts for 42 player transactions - in and out - including 17 new registrations, 1 updated contract, 4 cancelled contracts and 20 loans.
Clubs in League Two spent just under £1million between them with Swindon Town nearly equating for half that total.
Four sides in United’s league, Accrington Stanley, AFC Wimbledon, Barnet and Crewe Alexandra, didn’t spend anything with agents.
