Visiting Roots Hall
PURCHASING MATCH TICKETS:
There are three ways to purchase tickets for our home matches: in person, online or over the telephone.
Purchasing your tickets with us couldn’t be easier. Our friendly staff in the Blues Box Office will be able to field any questions you may have as well as all your ticket enquiries. The Box Office is situated at the main entrance to Roots Hall, along with the Club Shop. You will be asked a couple of details, just so we can pull up your information, or find out if you’re purchasing for the first time.
The Box Office is open right up until kick-off on matchday, as well as after, for you to buy future tickets.
Tickets can also be purchased online via https://ticketing.southend-united.co.uk. Unfortunately, only home league matches are available to purchase via this system. Just register, purchase your tickets, and choose either delivered/collect. Simple.
If you wish to order your tickets via the telephone, just call 08444 770077. You can arrange a collection or delivery – whichever suits you best. For full terms and conditions please check www.southendunited.co.uk/tickets.
On your match ticket you’ll find all the info you need to find your seat for the game. The Block, Row and Seat are all listed as well as the turnstile. You’ll need to go through one of the turnstiles listed on your ticket to gain access to the part of the stadium where you’ll be sat.
WHERE TO SIT:
The EBM-PAPST Stand (East Stand):
This is the main stand at Roots Hall. As well as the Directors’ Box and Press Box, there’s 2,878 seats. This is also the stand where our Executive Boxes are and where our Blues Lounge and Platinum Suite hospitality guests sit.
The Paul Robinson West Stand (West Stand)
The West Stand is our largest stand and when all the blocks are open it can seat up to 3,337 fans.
The North Bank This is where our away fans are housed, and on occasion home fans. The North Bank when full can hold up to 2,248 fans.
The Hi-Tec Stand (South Stand)
The South Stand is a two-tier stand that is used for home fans only. The upper part of the South Stand holds 935 fans. The lower tier is also our Family Stand, as well as blocks Q&R in the West Stand. The family area at Roots Hall can hold 2,029 fans.
If you’ve decided to collect your pre-paid tickets you can do so either before the day of the game, or on the day of the game. If you’re collecting your tickets before the day of the game, you will be able to collect them directly from the Blues Box Office (at the top of the main car park). Should you be wishing to pick your tickets up on matchday, you will need to head to the north-east corner of the stadium where a Collection Point Ticket Office is situated. (The photos on the left show where this Ticket Office is situated). Please make sure that when you are collecting tickets you have your booking reference number with you. Remember, you can also have your tickets delivered ahead of the game, but please make sure you leave plenty of time when booking them to make sure they arrive.
Match programmes can be purchased from the Matchday Magazine hut located in the north-east corner of the ground. Blues, priced at just £3, includes exclusive interviews, behind the scenes access, the latest on the youth team, a dedicated Junior Blues section and much much more.
The Club Shop is open on a matchday to kit yourself out in Southend United merchandise. On matchdays is open from 10am-3pm while it is open 9:30-5pm Monday to Friday.
Are you a Junior Blue? If you’re aged 0-16 you can sign up to our fantastic Junior Blues and get brilliant discounts and offers. To sign up download the form from our Junior Blues page on the website and drop the form off at the main reception.
Here at Southend United we have two mascots. Sammy the Shrimp wears our blue home kit and Elvis J Eel wears our black and yellow away kit. They’ll be welcoming you to Roots Hall and will be causing mischief around the ground before kick-off and at half-time.
If you want to grab a few autographs before the game, we advise getting here early and waiting at the gate in the car park with your pen and pad at the ready. The players usually start arriving from around 1pm for a 3pm kick-off and 6pm for a 7:45pm kick-off.
