HENRY TO CHESHUNT

Posted on: Thu 07 Feb 2008

Rhys Henry is the latest member of Southend's under 18's side to be sent out on a four week work experience spell.

The Blues striker has been sent to Southern League Premier side Cheshunt Football Club for the next month.

Based just off of the M25 the Amber's are bottom of their division.

Henry has scored 18 goals this season in youth football and was a key member of Ricky Duncan's under 18's side FA Youth Cup run.

Ricky Duncan told southendunited.co.uk: "There has been a lot of interest in Rhys.

"He's scored a lot of goals but this is a good move for him, going into a sider struggling, and he will learn a lot from this spell there."

The 18-year-old joins James Lindie, David Obaze and Luke Thurlbourne out on work experience spells from Duncan's youth side.
