The Blues Box Office is now fully operational following the technical problems we have experienced this week.

Staff worked through the night to rectify a database issue to our ticketing system caused by the recent power outage at Roots Hall.

However, that problem has now been corrected and we are once again able to sell tickets.

Over the past couple of days the Box Office has taken many messages to call back supporters - some 400. Staff will now start working their way through the backlog of calls.

Priority is being given to those fans who wished to buy tickets for the Colchester United and Leyton Orient fixtures.

As such, and as there has been such a demand for the World Cup Winner promotion, we have extended the deadline for that promotion until 1pm on Wednesday, December 30.

Those fans that have expressed an interest or still wish to take advantage of the World Cup Winner offer should wait until after Christmas to aid us in dealing with processing tickets for the up and coming games although where supporters have left their details we will still get back in contact.

The Blues Box Office has extended their opening hours until 5pm today to deal with the demand.

Once again Southend United wishes to apologise to its supporters for any inconvenience that has been caused.
