Southend fans could get their first glimpse of Arsenal loan signing Kerrea Gilbert tomorrow night.

Blues landed the Gunners defender yesterday on a six month loan as United moved to strengthen their defensive options.

And United fans will be able to see the 20-year-old in action on Wednesday evening in the Blues second home friendly against Vitesse Arnhem.

Speaking to southendunited.co.uk Gilbert said: "I want to be involved on Wednesday against Vitesse Arnhem.

"I might play some part or I might play the full game, but either way I want to be involved to keep my fitness going."

Tickets are still available for the match at Roots Hall in what is United's first game against foreign opposition in England since 1995.

Prices have been set at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and are available from the Blues Box Office on 08444 77 00 77.

Meanwhile, Gilbert has been handed squad number 25 for his time with Southend.
