Today most squads only had one fixture due to the way the tournament is structured, so this meant the rest of the day our squads could watch the Centre of Excellence, enjoy some free time and visit the city of Aalborg.

The Shadow squads today kicked off with 09.00 starts so again an early start was required, but it is never a problem for us, due to the way we encourage our players to prepare, starting with an early night the night before.

Please find below a round -up of all our teams from Friday's fixtures.

Steve King's Centre of Excellence Squad today had just two fixtures which they won. An 8-0 win start the day with goals from Brown x 2, Acquah x 2 Volk, Johnson, Humphries, Wiggins. This is a good start to their day and following the Shadow Squads fixtures the second game was supported by the rest of the youngsters who eagerly supported the Centre players to victory against FDS.

The game v FDS saw the young Blues coming out on top with a 5-2 win. The game was very competitive and a professional performance was witnessed following goals from Brown x 3, Fogg and Johnson.

James Powell's squad today entertained the team top of their respected league and knew the fixture would be tough. Their opponents were last years winners who had not conceded, although this did not worry us. A very positive performance saw the blues come from 0-1 down to equalise through Woolf, although they soon went 1-3 ahead. Jack Woolf again scored to put the game at 2-3 and with Southend pushing for an equaliser they were caught on the counter attack to eventually lose 2-4. James was pleased with all the players performances.

Ben Duncan's Squad today rallied up a 15-0 victory with most players getting on the score sheet. Prior to the fixture the players knew it would be a case of how many, but still needed to demonstrate discipline in how they were playing. All the Goals came from Mitchel Cox x 4, Toby Coker x 3, Elliot Benepolous-Jones x 3, Craig Wheeler x 4 and Owen Chesney.

Ginge's squad also had one fixture and this fixture on paper was 2nd v 4th. A win for the opponents would have seen an interesting final table. Our opponents had beaten all other teams we had played by more goals, so looked a tough test although the players were only interested in putting any fear to bed with a comfortable victory.

Goals from Max Reeve x 4, Harry Kateley x 2, Jack Gosling, Kiah Froud and an own goal saw us win 9-1 and cement a 2nd place. This now means the team have qualified to play against both Brondby and Lyseng again for 1st to 3rd places.

The players are very keen to demonstrate positive performances tomorrow to win the Norhalne Cup, but also know it will be a stern test and have gone to bed ready and keen for the fixtures.

Tomorrow (Saturday) is the final day of the tournament so it will be an exciting day with all our teams well placed to be in contention of winning some silverware. The players are continuing to demonstrate many positive aspects and a summary of all the final fixtures and final placements will be published following the tournament.
