Southend United will field a near youth team against Stevenage Borough reserve side this afternoon.

Blues second string face the newly promoted Blue Square Premier side at Roots Hall this afternoon (2pm).

And following Monday nights 5-2 reserve defeat at Watford only Scott Malone has first team experience.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee is included in an inexperienced team that includes a number of under 16's who have just been offered scholarships at the Blues.
