Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu returned to Roots Hall this summer after joining Southend United for a month's loan.
The 19-year-old will help to boost numbers in the squad having previously enjoyed a three-month loan spell with the Blues last season.
However, that period was cut short as injuries blighted his time with Southend despite some impressive performances.
Robson-Kanu made six starts for Steve Tilson's side and scored three goals against Nottingham Forest, Huddersfield Town and Swansea City before returning to Reading.
An England youth international, Robson-Kanu has represented his country at under-19 level.
