Southend United head to Port Vale tomorrow, buoyed by InsureandGo extending their sponsorship deal for another season. The Southend-based company will be backing Blues for a sixth successive campaign. And the latest agreement is believed to be worth a six-figure sum for the League Two club. "We are delighted InsureandGo has agreed to remain as a key partner for the next 12 months," said Blues' chief executive Tara Brady.

Graham Coughlan knows Southend United have unperformed in recent weeks. And the experienced Irishman is determined to play a part in helping them improve. The defender, who has also been coaching the team this season, looks set to replace the suspended Bilel Mohnsi at Vale Park and he is desperate to get Blues back on track. "We need to look at ourselves and start producing, beginning with tomorrow's match at Port Vale," said Coughlan, 36.

Harry Crawford hopes to frighten Port Vale tomorrow — and not just because of his bruised and battered face. The 19-year-old striker was forced off against Aldershot Town last Saturday with a nasty cut above his nose which required seven stitches, and he missed the midweek defeat to Accrington Stanley. But he returned to training yesterday and is now confident of being fit to face Port Vale. "I should be OK to play and I hope to be able to get back out there because it was so frustrating to have to go off against Aldershot," said Crawford.
