Adam Barrett returns from suspension tonight

Adam Barrett and Alan McCormack both return for tonight's 'six pointer' against QPR.

With Steve Hammell ruled out with a thigh injury, Barrett will return from suspension and switch from his accustomed centre half position to play at left back.

But McCormack has been passed fit to play having recovered from his own thigh injury suffered in the recent game at Birmingham to take his place in midfield.

The Blues have lost just one of their last seven matches in the Championship and victory would propel them further to safety, as well as closer to moving out of the bottom three.

QPR come to Essex having won for the first time in four league matches last weekend with victory over Burnley.

Team Line-ups:

Southend: Flahavan, Hunt, Clarke, Sodje, Hammell, Campbell-Ryce, Maher, McCormack, Gower, Bradbury, Eastwood.

Subs: Collis, Francis, Hooper, Foran, Harrold.

QPR: Royce, Mancienne, Cullip, Stewart, Ainsworth, Lomas, Bolder, Timoska, Rowlands, Blackstock, Cook.

Subs: Cole, Rehman, Nygaard, Ray Jones, Smith.
