BRADY BOXING CLEVER IN CHARITY FIGHT

Posted on: Fri 27 May 2011

Southend United chief executive Tara Brady will be aiming for the knockout blow in July.

The Blues supremeo will be boxing clever at Garons Park, Southend as he makes up part of the bill of an evening of Ultimate Warrior Challenge with several big fights also taking place.

Brady will fight Tilbury's Jamie Westlake, a West Ham United supporter, on Saturday, July 2.

And Blues supporters can cheer or jeer the 43-year-old by purchasing tickets from the Blues Box Office.

Tickets are priced at £28 for standard seats or £38 for a VIP package that includes a buffet, VIP bar and the best view in the house.

A percentage of each ticket sale will be donated to the SCAT Bone Cancer Trust a charity close to Tara's heart.

Brady's daughter Addie, aged 9, was recently diagnosed with Primary Bone Cancer of the tibia and is receiving chemotherapy and faces the prospect of potential amputation below the knee.

Fans can show their support for the evening and help raise money for charity by purchasing tickets from the Blues Box Office either in person or by calling the hotline on 08444 77 00 77. Tickets are on sale from Tuesday, 31st May.

The evening takes place on the same night as David Haye is set to take on Wladimir Klitschko in Hamburg, Germany as he attempts to unify the IBF and WBO titles.

As such UWC has put on an after fight party at Maxims Casino from 10pm which is free to attendees who keep their ticket and includes a free buffet and access to VIP bar as well as big screens broadcasting the fight.

This is a non-profit event for Southend United and we hope fans will support the evening to help raise money for charity.
