STURROCK SET TO MAKE CHANGES

Posted on: Tue 24 Aug 2010

Southend United boss Paul Sturock could hand a debut to defender Bilel Mohsni against Wolverhampton Wanderers tonight.

Blues travel to the Premier League sides Molineux home in the second round of the Carling Cup this evening.

And following a disappointing defeat against Port Vale last weekend Sturrock looks set to make changes.

That means that Mohsni, 22, could be in line to start in the centre of United's defence.

Meanwhile, Sturrock could also call upon left-back Peter Gilbert for the first time.

Gilbert has missed the start of the season with an ankle injury but returned for the reserves last week.

And the former Northampton Town fullback may be named in the starting eleven tonight.

Centre-back Mark Phillips is struggling for fitness with a slight hamstring strain and may not travel.
