Southend United has been drawn against Gillingham in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Blues will face the Gills at home following today's draw live on Soccer AM.

Today's draw was regionalised into South East and West sections as well as North East and West.

Several sides in the South and North were given byes through to the second round earlier this season.

Ties are due to be played week commencing 30th August. Full ticketing details will be confirmed shortly.
