Boss Paul Sturrock looks set to give a run-out to some more of his squad tonight against Bristol City.

Blues face the Championship side in the first round of the Carling Cup at Roots Hall this evening (7.45pm).

And Sturrock is set to feature some of his side who didn't feature against Stockport County on Saturday.

Meanwhile, United are still hoping to receive international clearance for Bilel Mohsni and Adam Bouzid in time for tonight's match.

Southend are waiting on the French Football Federation and Moroccan FA to give clearance for the pair to complete their moves to Roots Hall.

Winger Ryan Hall is available after serving a one match suspension against Stockport and left-back Peter Gilbert is the Blues only injury with the former Northampton defender missing with an ankle problem.

United also has permission to field loanees Chris Barker and Josh Simpson in the competition from Plymouth Argyle and Peterborough United respectively.
