Southend United boss Paul Sturrock was left 'pig sick' following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Stockport County.
Paul's son Blair rescued his dad's side with an injury time equaliser on the opening day of the League Two season.
However, it was not enough to prevent Sturrock from venting his frustrating following a mix-up between the officials at Roots Hall.
Assistant referee Marvin Thompson appeared to flag for offside in the build-up to Stockport's goal, before changing his mind.
That led to Sturrock being sent to the stands by referee Iain Williamson following the Scots protests.
"Everyone in the stadium saw the flag go up but the referee did not look at the linesman quickly enough and I'm absolutely pig sick," Sturrock told Blues Player after the match.
"OK we got back in it and got a draw but this decision will cost me money and I will be banned from the dug-out.
"I honestly feel that no manager in the land would have done anything different to what I did.
"When we get hot headed we may swear a bit more but it's not often I get upset with officials.
"Most officials would agree with that but this one got it wrong. It was a bad mistake and I'm going to have to pay the price for that now."
Despite the late drama Sturrock was disappointed that his side had not done more in front of goal.
Blues had a number of good opportunities to take the lead but failed to convert.
"I just don't think we believed in ourselves around their box," he said.
"There were a lot of half-chances we should have taken.
"Barry (Corr) should've scored in the first half and had two glaring misses with his head in the second.
"We're not the finished article yet and there is so much work still to be done, but for endeavour I couldn't fault the players."
