Southend United can confirm that they have cancelled the contracts of Francis Laurent and Jean-Francois Christophe by mutual consent.

The pair expressed their desire earlier this month to leave Roots Hall to manager Paul Sturrock.

Southend United wishes both players all the best in the future and thanks them for their service during their time with the Blues.
