Southend United has today agreed to cancel goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall's contract by mutual consent.

Steve wishes to play his football at the highest possible level and appreciates that his current salary is prohibitive for a team in League Two next season.

As a result Steve is now able to sign for a new club and has today joined Millwall on a free transfer signing a 12 month contract.

The Club's management wishes Steve all the best for the future and thanks him for his service over the past two seasons.
