Southend United have added a pre-season friendly against Salisbury City to their schedule.

The Blues will travel to City's Raymond McEnhill Stadium on Friday, July 23 - kick-off 7.30pm.

Assistant manager Tommy Widdrington moved to Roots Hall from The Whites earlier this week.

And he will return quickly as Blues take a side to Wiltshire.

Salisbury City were relegated two divisions this season from the Blue Square Premier after breaking the Conference's financial regulations.

City will be plying their trade next season in the Southern League Premier Division.
