Southend United will no longer face Thurrock in a pre-season friendly later this month.

Blues were due to face the Blue Square South side on Saturday, July 24 at their Ship Lane home.

However, new boss Paul Sturrock requested to cancel the fixture.

Some new pre-season dates will be added shortly to Southend's schedule.
