Southend United will kick-off the npower League 2 season on August 7th with a home encounter against Stockport County.
Another opening game at Roots Hall would not have been hard to predict, with the Blues having played the first game of the past seven league campaigns on home soil.
And coincidentally, this very same fixture was also the Blues' last home match of the previous season, which saw both teams suffer relegation into League 2.
The opening month of the 2010/11 season then continues with matches away to Aldershot Town, at home to Port Vale and ending with a trip up north to face Bradford City.
During the Christmas period, Southend will play host to Barnet on Boxing Day and will begin the New Year in 2011 by facing off against Oxford United, who won promotion into League 2 via the Blue Square Premier play-offs last season.
Southend's final encounter of the season will see them make the short journey to face Wycombe Wanderers.
The current fixture list is provisional, with clubs having until 12 noon on June 25th to agree any changes.
