Southend United confirm that they will be launching two new first team kits this summer in preparation for the new 2010/11 season.

The Blues will be unveiling brand new home and away strips in time to kick-off next season in npower League Two.

The new home kit will be on sale from the end of June, whilst the new away strip will be available at Meet the Blues Day in July.

The decision to launch a new home strip was not taken lightly but a number of supporters felt that the season had not been the luckiest in many respects suggesting that a change of strip may help to revive the Club's fortunes.

The management team also felt similarly but more than that the Manager wanted a fresh look and approach to the season ahead and influenced the final choice.

As a result discounts will now be applied to the remaining stock of the current home shirts in the Blues Club Store. The yellow kit, the current away kit, will remain as a third choice kit for the 2010/11 season
