Southend United winger Franck Moussa was left feeling disappointed as Blues ended the season with a 3-1 defeat at Southampton.

Moussa fired Southend in to the lead at the start of the second half with his sixth goal of the season.

But that was not enough to ensure Steve Tilson's side held on to their lead as they finished the season with another defeat.

"It was a disappointing way to finish because I thought we could have taken something from the game after taking the lead," Moussa told Blues Player after the match.

"It wasn't a great way to end and we could definitely have done better defensively but it's been like that for most of the season.

"As a team we just haven't done that well enough."
