Adam Barrett returns for Southend United in today's League One encounter at Oldham Athletic.

The Blues captain has recovered from a hamstring injury and will replace Jean-Yves M'Voto in the centre of defence.

A second change of the afternoon will see Matt Paterson replace Jean-Francois Christophe in the starting XI, as he partners Scott Vernon in attack, with Francis Laurent reverting to the right wing.
