Southend United supporters can travel to Oldham Athletic on Saturday for just £5 as Blues aim to pull off a 'Great Escape' but only have until 12pm this afternoon to do so.

United's hopes of remaining in League One next season hinge on a win against Oldham this weekend.

Blues are currently seven points from safety in the table and anything but three points on Saturday will send Steve Tilson's side down.

However, Southend United in collaboration with the Shrimpers Trust are laying on subsidised coaches to Boundary Park for just £5 in a bid to give the side all the support they deserve.

Up to eight coaches are available and those fans who wish to take part can book onto them by calling the Blues Box Office on 08444 77 00 77 (from 9.30am on Thursday).

Chairman Ron Martin said: "With the fans backing then hopefully it will encourage the players. If we can get a result at Oldham then it is possible we might just stay up and with this offer hopefully more supporters will make the journey than were perhaps considering before.

"With your support we can pull off a Great Escape so if you can, please get to Oldham and sing your hearts out."

This really is our last chance to avoid relegation and with everybody's support it could just be possible.

If the Club is successful in staying in League One then the reduced Season Card prices announced earlier this week will still stand.

So get behind the Blues and we might just pull off the Great Escape!
