Southend United look set to be without Captain Adam Barrett for Saturday's clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Blues skipper is sidelined with a hamstring problem and looks like to miss this weekend's match against the Seagulls.

Barrett pulled out of Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Brentford in the warm-up with the complaint.

He is likely to be replaced by Sunderland loanee Jean-Yves M'Voto who deputised midweek.

Meanwhile, Southend's only other definite absentees are Damain Scannell (foot) and Scott Spencer (ankle) who miss the rest of the season with the problems.

Tickets for this game are only £5 for one adult and one child in an exclusive offer for Echo readers.

Blues must win against Brighton if they are to stand a chance of staying in League One next season.

To take advantage of the promotion make sure you purchase today's Echo and bring the voucher to the Blues Box Office, today or on Saturday, to exchange it and five pounds for two tickets.
