Southend United Captain Adam Barrett will miss Tuesday nights clash with Walsall following his red card against Carlisle United yesterday.

Barrett was sent off after being handed a second yellow card in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Roots Hall.

And that means the skipper has been handed a one-match ban and will miss Tuesday's re-arranged match against the Saddlers.

Fellow Blues player Jean-Francois Christope will serve the final match of his four game suspension against Walsall also.
