KEEPER JACK JOINS BLUES
Goalkeeper Kelvin Jack has joined Southend United this evening on non-contract terms.
Jack, a former Trinidad and Tobago international, has joined the Blues until the end of the season as cover for Steve Mildenhall.
The 33-year-old shot stopper has been without a club since May 2008 when a freak accident whilst on trial with Barnsley saw him break his leg.
Jack has 33 caps for the Socca Warriors and has spent time with Reading, Dundee United and Gillingham in Great Britain.
A close friend of Blues skipper Adam Barrett, Jack has been training with United since the start of the season as he looked to find a club following nearly two-years out of the game.
With American Ian Joyce set to have his contract cancelled by mutual consent next week to allow him to return to the States, Jack will provide cover for Steve Tilson's side until May.
He has been handed squad number 21 and will be in the squad for tomorrows trip to Milton Keynes Dons.
