Youngster Craig Calver has gone on loan to Blue Square South outfit Braintree Town today.

Calver, 19, is a developmental squad player after he was handed a one-year deal following a successful campaign at under 18 level.

The former Ipswich Town scholar will spend the next month at Braintree as he looks to gain experience.

He is yet to make a first team appearance at Roots Hall, although he has previously featured on the bench.

Calver spent a similar loan spell at St. Albans earlier this season.
