TILSON: WE NEED TO BE MENTALLY RIGHT
Steve Tilson admits that regardless of the opposition, Southend United need to prepare and focus their attention towards being mentally right for every game.
The Blues play host to in-form Swindon Town in League One this Saturday and Tilson is happy to report that spirits in the camp are good, as the team look to pick up their first win in four games.
"As tough as it has been for us lately, the lads are still in good spirits here," Steve told Blues Player.
"We have to make sure that everyone pulls together, otherwise we will be in trouble.
"It doesn't matter who you play in this division, because irrelevant of the opposition, every game is tough.
"You only have to look at Leeds United's last three league game, but we have to have the right attitude for every game.
"If we prepare and are mentally right, then that is all we can do.
"Swindon have done fantastic and if you look through their side, I don't know for definite, but they have had a lot of continuity throughout the season.
"I bet they have had a starting XI who have played a number of games on the bounce and that is something we haven't had and is something we have struggled with this season.
"Adam Barrett has had seven centre backs this season, which is too many, but unfortunately that is the way it has been for us.
"We can either moan and groan and give up or we have to get on with it and be positive."
