Alan McCormack will miss Southend United's next two matches after picking up his 10th booking of the season during Tuesday's 2-0 defeat at Millwall.

The midfielder will have to sit out games against both Swindon Town and Colchester United, meaning manager Steve Tilson will be seriously short of options.

"It's a blow for us that Macca's going to be out and we certainly don't have many bodies to pick from at the moment," said Tilson.
