Southend United boss Steve Tilson hopes to have goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall available for Saturday's match against Huddersfield Town.
Mildenhall has been sidelined since before Christmas with a back and pelvic problem.
He missed United's defeat against Colchester on Boxing Day with Ian Joyce also deputising during Southend's 2-1 win at Leyton Orient two days later.
That match, before the turn of the New Year, was Steve Tilson's sides' last outing in League One thanks to postponements and the inclement weather.
But following Mildenhall's return to training on Thursday, Southend hope to have their number one available against the Terriers.
Meanwhile, centre-back Sean Morrison returned to Swindon Town at the start of the week after his loan spell ended.
United renewed the loan of Sunderland's Jean-Yves M'Voto following his three month injury setback.
However, the Frenchman is not up to match fitness and will not travel to the Galpharm Stadium tomorrow. That means that Osei Sankofa is likely to be recalled to the starting line-up.
Finally, new signing Scott Spencer is likely to be in the 18 man matchday squad following his free transfer move to Roots Hall earlier this week.
