SANKOFA EYEING START

Posted on: Tue 12 Jan 2010

Osei Sankofa hopes to get a recall to the starting line-up on Saturday at Huddersfield Town.

The Blues defender is likely to start at the Terriers after Sean Morrison returned to Swindon Town this week following the completion of his loan spell.

And Sankofa hopes to take his spot in the back four following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

"Touch wood I will get an opportunity to play because I've had a few problems this season," said Sankofa, who missed 10 weeks of action with a knee problem earlier on this term.

"My injury is fine again now but it's been extremely frustrating lately because of the weather.

"We haven't played since the end of December and we haven't really been able to train properly either.

"We've been in the gym and have been doing spinning sessions on the bikes.

"It feels like we're on a summer break just with the weather being 10 times worse and I can't even remember the last time I kicked a ball.

"I don't really feel like a footballer at the moment."
