Southend United's start to 2010 will be put on hold after Millwall progressed through to the third round of the FA Cup last night.

Blues were due to meet the Lions at the Den on Saturday, January 2 in League One.

However, following Millwall's 4-0 FA Cup second round replay win against Staines Town last night United's league fixture has been put on hold.

That means that Steve Tilson's side won't face their first fixture in January until Saturday, January 9 when Walsall visit Roots Hall.

A new date for the postponed match is yet to be confirmed.
