JABO SET FOR BLUES DEBUT

Posted on: Tue 01 Dec 2009

Southend United boss Steve Tilson looks set to hand a debut to new loan signing Jabo Ibehre for tonight's clash against Norwich City.

Ibehre moved on loan to Roots Hall on Thursday last week from United's League One rivals MK Dons.

And the former Leyton Orient forward looks set to be included for the Canaries visit.

Meanwhile, midfielder Anthony Grant will serve the second of his two match suspension.

Grant sat out last Tuesday's 2-0 defeat at Tranmere Rovers after accumulating ten yellow cards and the former Chelsea trainee will once again be absent tonight.

Defender Osei Sankofa made a return to training on Monday following two months on the sidelines with a knee problem.

Sankofa picked up the injury against Southampton at the start of October but is short of fitness and will not yet make a return.

He was joined back on the training field by Francis Laurent who also trained following a hamstring problem last week but this evening may also be too soon for the winger.
